In today's highly competitive global economy, companies must constantly review and improve their cost structures. Increased competition accompanied by increased costs has resulted in many companies looking for better sources for their raw materials, components and finished products in order to survive and prosper in a competitive economy and expanding global marketplace.

The mission of S³ is to provide access to the "Asia Cost Advantage" by providing a full range of product sourcing services while removing the high-perceived risks and costs of attempting to deal with Asia themselves.

 

Why S³?

Managing a sourcing operation from Asia without a local presence is extremely difficult. Factories are scattered too widely and negotiation processes are complex and lengthly. Even if a company has managed to negotiate the right price with a local manufacturer, it is still difficult to achieve quality control and supervision.

Although Asia offers clear cost advantages, not all companies find it feasible to set up their own purchasing and quality control organization in Asia.

By establishing a constant presence both in Asia and in Europe, S³ manages the sourcing operation in a superior way - in essence providing its clients with the benefits of a Asian purchasing office without any of the expenses or risks.

Management Team

Brent Ferguson - (Shanghai Office) - Brent is an MBA graduate of Queen's University in Ontario.   He is a Canadian who is proficient in Mandarin Chinese and has extensive experience with Asian business and, in particular, sourcing activities.   In the past, Brent has served as an executive for several North American companies and as an entrepreneur in industrial and hand tool distribution.  Brent is in charge of the Sł sourcing operations in Asia.

Alon Slonim - (Tel Aviv Office) - Alon is an American/Israeli who graduated from the IESE Business School MBA program. He has a wealth of experience in financial products and organizational structuring. Alon is responsible for Sł operational coordination, including budgeting, finance, logistics and business development.

Tom Van der Heyden - (Barcelona Office) - Tom is a Belgian citizen who speaks English, French, German, Spanish, Catalan, Italian and Dutch. He has graduated from the IESE Business School MBA program, and has a great deal of sales and marketing experience in industrial companies, logistics and outsourcing. Tom is responsible for sales and marketing, client development, negotiation and conclusion of contracts in the EU region.
